Tuesday, 18th February,  PAWS received the ‘Certificate of Merit’ at the prestigious World CSR Day Congress and Awards, held at the Taj Lands’ End, Mumbai. I on behalf of all the supporters collected the award from Salihu Sultan Bilo, MD of CWID, Africa.
Out of 250 NGOs present at the event, PAWS was the only organization operating in the field of animal welfare. While this is certainly a moment of pride, this also raises a very important question – As we country are we understaffed to champion such a cause?
This award certainly comes as a big motivation for the entire unit of PAWS. Going forward, we have set some very important goals for ourselves. We are aiming to make Thane district, completely rabies-free. For our animal shelter situation in downtown Murbad, we are very close to setting up an X-ray and pathology unit. Five years from now, we see ourselves operating from a state-of-the-art animal hospital for stray animals.
Thank you once again for your wonderful support. Keep us in your prayers and best wishes so that we can reach out to more and more animals on a daily basis.
